Job Overview:

The Senior Electrical Estimator will lead the estimating lifecycle for major tenders and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate forecasting and efficient workflows.

  • Oversee detailed estimates for labour, materials, and subcontractor inputs, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain estimation data to drive business growth and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the bid phase, providing expert guidance on commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and implement continuous improvement of estimation tools.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior estimators, promoting career development and succession planning.
Key Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field.
  • 7–10+ years' experience in electrical estimating, with a deep understanding of Australian electrical markets and labor dynamics.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with proficiency in estimation tools such as simPRO or CostX.
