We're looking for a proven leader in the electrical industry someone who thrives on responsibility, can keep multiple projects running smoothly, and has the confidence and know-how to handle any challenge on site or in the office.
The role involves overseeing a mix of commercial and service-based electrical works across Victoria, from programmed maintenance to complex fitouts and infrastructure upgrades.
It calls for a professional who's comfortable directing a team, liaising with clients at boardroom level, and rolling up their sleeves when a job needs pushing over the finish line.
This is not an entry-level management role we want someone who's been in the game long enough to know the pitfalls before they happen, can read a project before the drawings are complete, and understands that success comes from the right balance of planning, people management, and on-the-ground execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of multiple commercial and service projects across Victoria, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability
Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to build strong, long-term relationships
Guide and motivate field teams, setting clear expectations and mentoring less experienced staff
Coordinate all aspects of project delivery including design input, procurement, scheduling, and site operations
Identify and resolve project risks early, using practical solutions built from real industry experience
Take ownership of budgets, variations, and progress claims to ensure financial targets are met
Be prepared to get involved hands-on when deadlines or site conditions demand it
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5+ years in an Electrical Project Manager role (extensive industry experience highly regarded)
Background as a Director, business owner, or senior leadership position desirable
Strong technical grounding in commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and compliance
Proven ability to motivate and lead teams while maintaining accountability
Organised, methodical, and confident managing multiple priorities at once
Proficient in systems, protocols, and apps for project tracking, reporting, and communication
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to entertain clients and build rapport
Current Victorian Driver's Licence
