Boilermaker Fitter Role in Central Queensland

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Queensland Alumina Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures.
Job Responsibilities- Perform maintenance services on the Flash Tanks, Digestors, Holding Tanks and associated equipment in the Digestion area of the plant (planned work and breakdowns)
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and recommend improvements to equipment
- Order parts and record maintenance history
- Complete inspection of components and take personal accountability for the safe execution, quality and efficiency of work
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Mechanical trade qualifications (Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter) with experience installing large valves and pipework would be advantageous
- A positive and motivated attitude with the ability to communicate effectively and work safely in a team environment
