Career Opportunity: Counsellor Role

We are seeking a qualified counsellor to join our team and provide therapeutic interventions to students enrolled in Catholic schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and family counselling sessions to children and families from your schools.
  • Develop and implement group therapy sessions for student cohorts and assembly presentations.
  • Design and deliver professional development programs for school staff.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical and administrative practice in accordance with the program's policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Social Work (including eligibility for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers) or registered with AHPRA as a Psychologist or Degree qualified counsellors with registrations with ACA or PACFA (level 3 or 4).
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Detailed knowledge of challenges affecting children, adolescents, and families, as well as current techniques to promote wellbeing, rehabilitation, and establishing relationships and resilience.
