Monday to Fridays
Location: headspace Early Psychosis, Canberra
Type: Part-Time, 3 days/week | Monday to Fridays
Salary: HPA Level 3 (commensurate with experience) + Salary Packaging (pay less tax)

About The Program
headspace Early Psychosis is a nationally recognised leader in youth mental health, delivering evidence-based, recovery-oriented services. Our model of care is grounded in the renowned Orygen EPPIC (Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Centre) framework, ensuring world-class early intervention for young people.
The Program Is Structured Across Three Specialist Teams
- Mobile Assessment & Treatment Team (MATT)
- Continuing Care Team (CCT)
- Functional Recovery Team (FRT)
You'll play a vital role in improving family relationships, reducing distress, and creating a safe and supportive environment that empowers young people through their recovery journey.
- Deliver high-quality family therapy aimed at repairing and strengthening family relationships.
- Work with various family structures, such as parents and young people, whole families, or parent-focused interventions.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care
- Support families while ensuring the young person remains the primary focus of care.
- Address family relationship ruptures, manage family dynamics, and encourage effective coping strategies.
- Assist families in understanding and addressing their concerns while promoting healthy communication.
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or counselling.
- Current full registration with APHRA, AASW, PACFA, ACA, or AAFT.
- 3 years of demonstrated experience engaging with families and parents for the best interests of young people. Non-senior candidates considered upon application and will be remunerated accordingly.
- Experience delivering systemic or structural family therapy models.
- Ability to identify and manage risk, including a strong understanding of child protection issues.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and writing skills.
