Job Title: Project Support Officers
The primary objective of the Project Support Officer is to provide high-level support services to the Program Manager. This involves ensuring seamless coordination and effective implementation of project management frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and Secretariat Services
- Provide administrative assistance to facilitate regular meetings and other program-related events as required.
- Project Management Framework Implementation
- Support the Program Manager in maintaining, improving, and implementing project management tools and frameworks to ensure efficient scope, cost, procurement, schedule, risk, resources, performance monitoring, benefits realization, communication, information, and stakeholder engagement.
- Information Management and Documentation
- Maintain and improve information management practices and project documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
- Commercial Procurement Activities
- Collaborate with Strategic Partners to develop Statements of Work (SOWs) for commercial procurement activities.
- Other Directorate and Project Support Activities
- Perform other directorate and project support tasks as required by the Program Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience working on major capital acquisition projects in the Defence sector.
- Knowledge of sustainment arrangements within the Defence context.
- Understanding of the Defence Capability Life Cycle and related governance structures.
- Project Management or Project Support experience.
- Familiarity with Project Management methodologies such as Prince2 and PMBOK.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment comprising APS personnel, consultants, and military personnel.
