NSW Building Assessment Manager

At the NSW Government, we are seeking an experienced Building Assessment Manager to oversee the assessment of damage to surface infrastructure associated with coal mine subsidence.
This role involves leading a team in project and contract management of rectification work, as well as assessing surface development risk to achieve customer service orientated objectives under the Coal Mine Subsidence Compensation Act 2017.
You will be based in Newcastle, New South Wales, and join our team on an ongoing basis.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong leadership skills, driving accountability and performance among the team
- Experience in reading and interpreting construction and engineering plans
- Expertise in construction methodology, building standards and practices, and project and contract management
- Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
The salary for this role starts at $125,693 base plus superannuation.
You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team who provide expert advice to property owners, government departments, authorities, local councils, community organisations, and industries within Mine Subsidence Districts, and throughout NSW.
