About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in the Forensic Mental Health unit. As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, counseling, and case management services to clients with complex mental health needs.

The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, be able to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, and possess a deep understanding of forensic mental health principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychosocial assessments, counseling, and case management services to clients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Facilitate client's reintegration into the community by providing support and resources
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in social work or a related field
  • Full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Experience working in forensic mental health settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
