Spotlight Retail Group is a leading Australian retail business, and we are seeking a skilled Business Operations Improvement Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid role with a vibrant, dynamic work environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for simplifying operations and reporting processes, building ad-hoc reporting capabilities, ensuring data quality and accuracy, training and empowering users, generating business insights, supporting business initiatives, and automating reporting. To achieve this, you will need to have strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI for data manipulation, visualization, and reporting.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successfully managing stakeholder relationships and possessing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in a retail environment and passion and enthusiasm for data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Simplify operations and reporting processes to improve user-friendliness and data-driven decision making
  • Build ad-hoc reporting capabilities to provide users with on-demand insights and training
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy through testing and validation procedures
  • Train and empower users to utilize BI tools effectively
  • Generate business insights to identify improvement opportunities and recommend strategic actions
  • Support business initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders and providing data-driven support
  • Automate reporting to develop efficient workflows for data processing, visualization, and report generation
