As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care and achieving optimal healthcare outcomes for oncology patients.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing care plans in accordance with current legislation and professional standards.
- Support the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day operations of the cancer centre.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-performance care services through a patient-centric and collaborative approach.
- Assess the healthcare needs of patients and formulate, implement, and evaluate a plan of care in partnership with the patient.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all disciplines, other departments, and the wider professional community.
- Actively participate in identifying areas of nursing practice where improvements can be made to the quality of nursing care.
- Commit to ongoing professional development of self, other staff, and the profession.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Radiation Oncology Nursing experience (highly desirable).
- Ability to apply excellent communication and problem-solving skills with both patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining good working relationships.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to complex, time-sensitive issues.
- Genuine interest in cancer care nursing and professional development within this space.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use Electronic Medical Records.
- Commitment to learning and continual professional development.
