Role Overview

This is a critical position within our multidisciplinary team, responsible for providing an intake function and conducting comprehensive assessments to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes.

The role involves receiving referrals from various sources, including external providers and internal teams, and assessing individuals in need of Alcohol and Other Drug Services. The clinician will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop clinically appropriate treatment plans and facilitate smooth transitions into community-based services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing stakeholder referrals and coordinating client intake processes.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Providing waitlist management for residential inpatient units and ensuring seamless access to care.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide skilled case coordination services.
  • Responding effectively to crisis situations and prioritizing client safety and well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in social work, nursing, psychology, or related health disciplines.
  • Excellent assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of harm minimization strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and overdose prevention methods.
  • Current Working with Children Check status.
