Job Title: Principal Clinical Lead

The key objective of this role is to provide clinical leadership and oversight across the ADF Health Services business. This will involve working closely with the General Manager Clinical Governance and the broader Leadership Team to deliver core clinical governance activities required under the Contract.

This critical leadership position will ensure Bupa supports Defence with the delivery of high-quality, safe, reliable care across ADF Health Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice to embed quality care across all service delivery and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the ADF Health Services Contract.
  • Represent Bupa at the highest level of clinical leadership within Bupa and with clients.
  • Support the ADF Leadership Team with expert clinical advice on quality care and continuous improvement activities.
  • Act as the nominated incident manager for clinical complaints and incidents.
  • Offer clinical guidance on regulatory, compliance, and case-specific matters.
  • Support the implementation and management of the clinician value proposition.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and collaborate with stakeholders to drive clinical quality improvements.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
  • Extensive experience in clinical governance, quality, and risk management.
  • In-depth understanding of the clinical and operational ADF environment.
  • Proven capability in leading clinical improvement initiatives and implementing new models of care.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory and compliance landscape for healthcare professionals.
  • Adept at working across complex organisational structures and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
