We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as the Head of Fund Operations. This is a newly created role that will play a key part in driving company growth and process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor operations staff members, including facilitating training and professional development.
- Develop the company's Operational strategy, identifying internal system and process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Research new systems and technologies to identify opportunities to continuously improve technology and associated processes.
- Manage the reporting functions of funds and ensure data requests from dealer groups, researchers and platforms are delivered on time.
- Design, implement and maintain ongoing operational effectiveness of internal controls around investment products.
- Work with the Chief Operating Officer to design, implement and report on progress of the group's annual investment operations plan.
- Monitor, review and manage the relationship with external service providers, making changes where necessary.
- At least 10 years' experience within the financial services industry, ideally with an asset management firm, superannuation fund or fund administrator.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the funds management regulatory environment, and the laws, rules and regulations in Australia.
- Ability to develop and implement a business strategy, implement change programs, and focus on continual business improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a confident, engaging and outgoing personality, and strong client focus, demonstrating 'gravitas', where required.
- Self-motivated, demonstrating initiative, drive and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and a willingness to 'think, question and challenge'.
