Job Description

This Project Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity to work on prestigious fit-out and refurbishment projects, collaborating closely with a project manager, site engineer, site manager, foreman, and cadet. You will be involved in the delivery of multiple projects, working both autonomously and as part of a team.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and tracking project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of project contracts, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and ensuring the site team adheres to safety guidelines.
  • Preparing and reviewing project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project progression.
  • Leading the coordination of design and construction documents to ensure seamless execution of the project.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary or trade qualification in a building-related discipline (preferable).
  • A proven record of monitoring, managing, and complying with WHS and Quality Assurance processes and a Site/Project Engineer or similar.
  • A strong track record of stability with previous employers.
  • A proven understanding of construction process and project management methodologies.
