Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Draftsperson to join our leading engineering consulting firm in Perth, Australia.

This opportunity comes with a competitive annual salary package and flexible work arrangements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Production of various drawings, MTOs, lists, and 2D/3D models across mechanical, process, piping, civil, and structural disciplines under limited supervision from supervisors.
  • Development of drawings from engineers' sketches with limited input.
  • Undertake and supervise document control activities.
  • Perform clash detection of design models against as-built models or other consultants'/clients' design models.
  • Train more junior team members.
  • Ensure all activities performed at work comply with common Workplace/Occupational Health & Safety protocols, including Company policies, and relevant occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
Requirements & Competencies:
  • Work Authorisation: Australia (Required).
  • Formal training and/or qualification in Drafting, consistent with a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with CAD software.
  • 2+ Years work experience in mechanical/pipeline drafting (including 2D and 3D modelling for slurry, water, waste, mineral processing and/or oil & gas).
  • Experience working with one or more of the following packages: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenPlant.
  • Prior work experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Intermediate to Sound computer literacy skills, including MS Office package.
  • Sound to Strong skills in one or more CAD software packages covering the entire workflow from setup and 2D/3D modelling to drawing/model production.
  • Sound attention to detail/organisational skills.
  • Intermediate to Sound supervision/delegation skills.
  • Intermediate to Sound customer service acumen.
