Client Liaison Specialist

The Client Liaison Officer will visit clients and their carers in their own homes throughout Australia to investigate matters concerning independent living skills, accommodation issues, emotional and physical wellbeing and support requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing authoritative reports with considered recommendations to assist with decision making in relation to the effective use of client funds to meet their ongoing needs.
- Investigating and assisting in the management of situations requiring crisis care and counselling and making recommendations regarding financial and policy implications where appropriate.
- Undertaking research into the level, provision and access of relevant services provided to clients and their families by government, non-government, private service providers and community services.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the Supreme Court Act 1986, Trustee Act 1958, and the Guardianship and Administration Act 2019.
- Familiarity with the National Standards for Disability Services.
- Experience in the human services field, including the provision of services to meet the needs of clients with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), mental health issues, substance abuse issues and survivors of trauma.
