About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join our team in an inpatient setting.

Our 44-bed unit is dedicated to the treatment of individuals affected by alcohol and prescription medication.

We require a qualified Registered Mental Health Clinician to work on a permanent full or part-time basis.

Potential to discuss sessional suite within the hospital to support private practice (conditions apply).

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and facilitate evidence-based group therapy for mental health concerns and addiction.
  • Foster a supportive environment for patients with moderate to severe psychopathology through psychoeducation and skills-based sessions.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and create effective safety plans.
  • Collaborate with admitting psychiatrists, mental health clinicians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal care planning.
  • Communicate effectively through both verbal and written means, while maintaining efficiency and productivity.

About You:
  • You must possess a tertiary qualification relevant to your specific discipline/designation.
  • Hold registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or OT.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in facilitating groups and one-on-one sessions.
  • Proven expertise in delivering various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT.
  • Demonstrate clinical acumen and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
  • Exhibit self-motivation, teamwork skills, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in trauma therapy and/or EMDR is desirable.
  • Knowledge in treating addiction is also desirable.
