Job Title: Mental Health Care Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care across all divisions of mental health nursing.

  • The role offers the chance to work in varied settings, including community, inpatient, acute, and other specialist areas.
  • As a Mental Health Care Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides critical support and care in Acute Mental Health, Inpatient Units, and Community Mental Health.

You will be working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, with varying levels of complexity and acuity.

This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions, a minimum of 5 years' experience in mental health nursing, particularly in case management, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN to diversify their skills and explore new locations while making a real impact in the lives of patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients across all divisions of mental health nursing, including community, inpatient, acute, and other specialist areas.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to provide crisis intervention, case management, and coordination of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating patient-centered goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings.

What You'll Need:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
