We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Specialist to join our team at the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation. As a key member of our Cyber Security Operations Centre, you will play a critical role in protecting our organisation's internet-connected systems from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in cyber security operations
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Security Operations Centre, providing current advice drawn from emerging threat intelligence
- Develop strategies to detect and mitigate current and emerging cyber security threats
- Oversee and lead Threat Hunt and Incident Response activities, including coordination across teams and departments
- Ensure effective application of monitoring and response capabilities by working with the Engineering team to design and deliver technical solutions
- Foster and develop relationships with internal stakeholders, and domestic and international partners to enhance our information technology security posture and capabilities
- Experience working in a cyber security operations centre
- Experience with security tooling such as Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) tools (preferably Splunk and/or Sentinel)
- Relevant qualifications within cyber security (e.g. SANS GIAC certifications, CISSIP, CISM)
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards and technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with stakeholders, including internal technology teams, external managed service providers, vendor professional services and domestic and international partners
- Excellent collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to lead delivery outcomes
- Strong security awareness and risk management skills
- A competitive salary, including a 7.5 per cent allowance for maintaining a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance
