Mental Health Support Specialist

About this role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to support students with mild to moderate mental health concerns.
The successful applicant will work as part of established student support teams to enhance wellbeing and mental health support available to students.
- Key responsibilities include providing support and information for students, parents, carers and school communities.
Evidence-based intervention strategies will be used to support young people experiencing challenges with mental health, social and emotional wellbeing.
Therapeutic counselling and support will be provided through individual or group sessions.
Referrals will be facilitated to other allied health professionals and services.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:- Professional skills in supporting students with mental health concerns.
- A strong understanding of evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Counselling and communication skills to provide therapeutic support.
