As a senior leader in the field of financial services, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organisation's risk framework and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our members.

About the Role

Our organisation is seeking an experienced professional to lead our risk team and develop our risk business plan. You will be responsible for establishing and communicating our risk appetite and philosophy, as well as fostering a proactive organisation-wide risk culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and drive the execution of our risk framework at the highest standard.
  • Lead the risk team in establishing and communicating our risk appetite and risk management philosophy.
  • Develop and execute the risk business plan.
  • Foster a proactive organisation-wide risk culture.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven leadership skills that enable successful engagement and influence of their team and the broader organisation.
  • Expert knowledge of risk obligations and reporting requirements.
  • Extensive experience working closely with executive management, audit, risk and compliance committees.
  • Ability to monitor developments in best-of-breed risk management practices and provide insights on leading risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and analyse issues and opportunities in a timely and effective manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively influence, negotiate, and engage key stakeholders.
