Job Summary

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking an experienced Associate to join our Investment Banking team in Sydney. As an ECM Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ECM services to clients, working closely with the Head of ECM to manage all aspects of transaction execution, due diligence, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality ECM services to clients as part of the ECM team
  • Work closely with the Head of ECM to manage all aspects of transaction execution, due diligence, and project management, including:
    • Undertake commercial reviews of legal agreements
    • Review/prepare offer documents, announcements, presentations, and other relevant client documentation
    • Deal with clients and other service providers directly
    • Provide capital markets and structuring advice
    • Undertake financial analysis and modelling where necessary
    • Maintain corporate and institutional client relationships
  • Keep the Head of ECM briefed on the transaction process and execution progress, securing support for transaction strategy in relation to key milestones
  • Work on a range of transactions, including IPOs, Rights Issues, Capital Raising, and private and public placements, including drafting and negotiating key transaction documents and managing external client relationships
  • Work closely with other teams across the firm to deliver an integrated service to our clients
  • Manage and build external client relationships, including assisting with business development activities for key existing clients and new clients

Requirements

  • Experienced Analyst or Associate (2-6 years' experience) coming from corporate advisory, chartered accounting, or financial services legal background
  • 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in equity capital markets: rights issues, IPOs, Capital raising, placements preferably in the Australian market
  • Strong legal skills, coupled with a high degree of commitment and a practical mindset
