We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Counsellor to work with children and families, providing support and guidance to help them thrive. Our goal is to create individualised support plans that meet their unique needs.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives. As a Counsellor, you will have the chance to work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement effective support strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality counselling services to children and families using evidence-based approaches and neurodiversity-affirming practices.
  • Work closely with other professionals to design and deliver individualised support plans that meet the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including assessments and progress notes.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have full registration as a Counsellor with a recognised professional association, a paid Working With Children Check (NSW), and current NSW Police Check. You should also have professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance, knowledge of paediatric assessment tools, and confidence in administering them.
