Job Description

As a seasoned professional in physical security system design and engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data centers of tomorrow. Working closely with our enterprise data center design team, you will be responsible for designing extra-low voltage systems, collaborating with architectural and engineering teams to ensure security best practices are observed, drafting new systems into the design team's build plans, and coordinating with regional and local physical security leaders to understand new building and security system designs.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and engineering low-voltage systems
  • Using Blue Beam and other drafting technologies to work collaboratively with the design team to produce designs in Revit/CAD
  • Creating specifications and scope of work documentation templates for local project managers to use for vendor bids
  • Providing technical and design support for local physical security teams
  • Coordinating with all disciplines in the design process of a new building (architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil)
  • Supervising and approving all design deliverables developed by the local physical security team at each milestone of a project, analyzing, accepting or rejecting alternate designs and mitigation measures developed by the local physical security team when the standard design cannot be applied
  • Acting as a subject matter expert to support implementation of new technologies
  • Working regionally but also supporting the global physical security architecture team to ensure alignment on decisions and standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in architectural, electrical engineering, or physical security, or equivalent experience. Additionally, they should have 10+ years of experience in physical security system design and engineering, and 5+ years of experience with one or more drafting technologies such as AutoCad, BlueBeam.
