Stroke Fellowship Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished medical professional to join our Neurology and Stroke Team as a Stroke Fellow.

The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional clinical services to patients in the Neurology Department, combining individual performance with clinical leadership and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, guidance, and training to junior medical officers and students.
  • Participate in programs designed to promote personal growth and development.
  • Continuously review practices and promote change where required.
  • Demonstrate behaviours reflecting commitment to Department of Health values and strategic directions.

This is a single vacancy with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicant will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Term of Employment: The total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Advanced Trainee will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
  • Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in neurology.
  • Experience in supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
  • Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in neurology.
