Progressive Care Unit Nurse
">Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated registered nurse to join our team as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) float pool nurse. As a PCU float pool nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the PCU and potentially other areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the PCU and potentially other areas of the hospital, including assessing patients' needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including medication administration, vital signs, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in nursing and PCU care, attending continuing education sessions and conferences as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification and Epic experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced acute care setting.
- Strong skills in IV start and telehealth, with ability to work effectively in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, working independently and as part of a team.
