Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a skilled Financial Team Manager to lead our Melbourne-based Fund Accounting team. This role offers a competitive salary and excellent career opportunities.

Competitive Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Fund Accounting professional with strong leadership skills to manage a team of seven fund accountants. As a Financial Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing daily team oversight, client escalation, and service delivery for our Asset Manager, Life, and Super fund clients.

You will have overall responsibility for ensuring all client deliverables are completed accurately and timely in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The role acts as an escalation point for any daily issues when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 7 fund accounting staff
  • Provide performance reviews, ongoing training, and career progression
  • Oversee the generation of accurate reporting, including unit pricing, fund accounting, and month-end reporting from portfolio to trial balance
  • Investigate, resolve, or escalate issues as required

Requirements:

  • Approximately 6+ years' experience in fund accounting, unit pricing, and custody
  • Working technical knowledge and understanding of the full service model of master custody
  • Awareness of financial market securities and solid knowledge of fund products
  • Ability to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions in problem-solving
  • Experience in completing MIS and client reporting on a timely basis and in line with legislative requirements and organisational operational risk and compliance policies
