Water Industry Operations Professional

A challenging and dynamic role is available for a skilled professional to operate and maintain the council's water, sewage and recycled water schemes. The ideal candidate will work independently or collaboratively as part of an integrated team environment, developing strong working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Operate and maintain water, sewage and recycled water schemes in a safe and competent manner, adhering to industry standards and statutory requirements.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery to customers through compliance with relevant guidelines, workplace procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor and analyze SCADA, telemetry, and PLC systems, diagnose faults, and take appropriate corrective action.
- Operate and maintain water and sewerage treatment plants efficiently.
- Collect, sample, and analyze data to monitor and optimize plant performance as required.
- Actively participate in implementing initiatives and promoting a collaborative team-based approach.
- Pursue continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall performance.
The successful applicant will possess a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent, along with prior knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining water and/or sewerage treatment plants.
