Job Description\Entities of OperationMaintenance and Improvement

The role of Specialist Water Industry Operations entails the operation and maintenance of Council's water, sewage and recycled water schemes in a safe and competent manner. Ensuring exceptional quality of service to customers through adherence to industry standards, workplace procedures and statutory requirements is paramount.


Key Responsibilities:
  • \[item]Operate and maintain Council's water, sewage and recycled water schemes in a safe and competent manner.[/item]\[item]Ensure the highest quality of service to customers through compliance with industry guidelines, workplace procedures, Council's Customer Service Standards and statutory requirements.[/item]\[item]Monitor SCADA, telemetry and PLC systems, diagnose faults, take appropriate action to rectify faults and record/report them to management.[/item]\[item]Collaborate actively to implement initiatives and foster a cooperative team-based approach.[/item]\[item]Continuously improve processes to enhance safety, efficiency and performance.[/item]

Required Skills and Qualifications\

Applicants must possess or be willing to obtain qualifications for Certificate III in Water Industry Operations. Previous knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of a water and/or sewerage treatment plant are essential. Demonstrated ability to work independently or collaboratively within an integrated team environment by developing effective working relationships with various stakeholders is crucial.
