Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Operations Specialist to join our team at Scotchy Pocket Quarry. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mobile and fixed plant, including loaders, excavators, dump trucks, watercarts, and crushing/screening equipment.

Your primary focus will be on operating a range of equipment, performing routine maintenance, and undertaking housekeeping tasks. Additionally, you may be required to perform manual handling and general labouring duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Operate mobile and fixed plant equipment efficiently and safely
  • Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks
  • Undertake manual handling and general labouring duties as required
Requirements
  • Proven experience operating mobile plant in a quarry or mining environment with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of fixed crushing and screening operations
  • Commitment to health and safety with ability to work effectively in a team
  • Current driver's license; RII competencies and Certificate III in Extractive Industries (highly regarded)
  • Leading hand experience is highly regarded and will strengthen your application
