Role OverviewThis permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our community-based mental health services. As a Community Mental Health Professional, you will be responsible for individual assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, multidisciplinary consultations, and ongoing evaluation of care for individuals with moderate to severe mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their support networks.
- Provide high-quality clinical services, including individual and group therapy sessions, case management, and crisis intervention.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Experience working in community-based mental health settings, with a focus on assessment, treatment, and case management.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and theories in mental health, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and psychosocial interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, adults, and families.
- A tertiary degree in Psychology or a related field, with registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and a current practicing certificate.
- Competitive salary: $124,435 - $152,775 per annum (HP4)
