Project Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team, with expertise in Infrastructure and Building Services. This position will be part of the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture, a collaborative effort between Downer and CPB Contractors, focused on major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities.

This is a site-based role for the RAAF Base Wagga area, with relocation packages available. The successful candidate will require NV1 Security Clearance to participate in the redevelopment project, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks, and the RAAF Base Wagga.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for operational management of the Riverina Redevelopment Program (RRP) Projects, aiming to deliver optimal results while maintaining a Zero Harm environment, cost-effective delivery, and quality outcomes as tendered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational management of RRP Projects to achieve optimum results, ensuring a Zero Harm environment, cost-effective delivery, and quality outcomes.
  • Contribution to the preparation of operational project budgets and plans, aligning with current business unit/Group requirements.
  • Overseeing business performance/systems and providing recommendations for business improvement and growth.
  • Assisting in contract planning and management of resources required.
  • Examination of contract documents and drawings prior to commencement.
  • Identification and estimation of risks and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Holding or ability to obtain Government Security Clearance.
  • A relevant Engineering/Project Management Degree with relevant industry experience.
  • Proven engineering experience delivering complex construction projects of medium to large scale.
  • Demonstrated capability gained in a business/project management role at a similar level.
  • Experience in preparation and management of operational budgets and reviewing financial information.
