Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Lead - Client Safeguarding to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and enhancing our safeguarding framework, reviewing policies and procedures, and identifying areas for improvement. You will work closely with senior leadership to implement practical solutions across the organisation, ensuring that our safeguarding practices align with our Code of Conduct and are fully integrated into our day-to-day operations.

This role requires strong project and change management skills, as well as expertise in report writing, quality management, compliance, and risk management. You will also need to have experience working in safeguarding and operations in child, youth & family, ageing, disability, child protection and/or legal environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of the safeguarding project plan, identifying and addressing policy gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Review and implement safeguarding processes across the organisation, ensuring they are embedded in all operational practices.
  • Develop and refine safeguarding policies, ensuring they are clear, effective, and easy for staff to implement.
  • Monitor and track progress to ensure policies are effectively integrated into frontline operations.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on safeguarding policy and practice, providing guidance and support to teams across the organisation.
Essential Criteria
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and senior experience in safeguarding and/or operations in child, youth & family, ageing, disability, child protection and/or legal environments.
  • Strong project and change management skills.
  • Skills in report writing, quality management, compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience and understanding of the safeguarding requirements and roles of regulators across multiple jurisdictions relating to Disability, Ageing, Child Youth & Family Services.
  • Strong communication abilities and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
