About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Delivery Team at DroneShield Group Pty Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional support and service from the initial engagement through to after-sales product support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and guidance to customers, reviewing system architectures and quotations for technical accuracy.
  • Act as the primary customer interface for accounts, providing installation, maintenance, and ongoing support.
  • Plan and manage complex system installations, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with customers to gather and document technical feedback, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support new product development projects by serving as the voice of the customer to the engineering team.
  • Perform end-user validation testing of new products and software releases, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers, resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and analysis to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of DroneShield systems and processes, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and end-users.
Requirements
  • Engineering or similar university degree is highly regarded.
  • Experience in a Field Service Engineering role, providing technical support directly to customers and managing projects with engineering teams.
  • Proficient with Linux operating system and networking devices.
  • Experience in testing complex systems and telecommunications, radio frequency, and/or electronic warfare is highly regarded.
  • Coding experience is highly regarded, with Python, Go, and/or JavaScript being ideal.
  • Knowledge from a range of engineering fields and history collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts from diverse backgrounds.
