About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Delivery Team at DroneShield Group Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers, ensuring they receive the best possible experience with our cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our sales team to provide technical support and guidance to customers, reviewing system architectures and quotations for accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for accounts, from ordering through to installation, maintenance, and ongoing support.
  • Plan and manage installations of complex systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Engage with customers to receive and document technical feedback, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Support new product development projects by serving as the voice of the customer to our engineering team.
  • Perform end-user validation testing of new products and software releases, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Provide remote and on-the-ground technical support to customers, resolving technical issues and providing expert guidance.
  • Conduct engineering investigation and analysis to resolve complex technical issues, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to drive solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of our systems and processes, ensuring continual improvements and best practices.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and subject matter experts, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
Requirements
  • Engineering or similar university degree, with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and problem-solving.
  • Experience in a Field Service Engineering role, providing technical support directly to customers and managing projects with engineering teams.
  • Proficient with Linux operating system and experience in networking devices, telecommunications, radio frequency, and/or electronic warfare.
  • Coding experience in Python, Go, or JavaScript is highly regarded, as is knowledge from a range of engineering fields and experience collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Existing Defence Security Clearance is preferred but not essential.
