About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at DroneShield Group Pty Ltd, you will be reporting to the AI Infrastructure Team Lead. The role is dedicated to developing and refining the physical and cloud-based infrastructure supporting DroneShield's AI and Data Engineering Teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of distributed systems, data engineering, security, and system resilience. You will work effectively to find solutions for both on-prem (air-gapped) and cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement processes for the continuous deployment of DroneSentry-C2 (drone detection platform) and in-field sensor network
  • Collaborate with the software and wider technology team to develop solutions and provide insights into complex problems
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud-based infrastructure
  • Work with the team to identify and address technical challenges and opportunities for improvement
Requirements
  • BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with common programming and scripting languages, including Python and bash
  • Integration and deployment pipelines with Gitlab, CodeBuild/Deploy
  • Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and/or Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Strong understanding of networking and security, working with webservers
  • Demonstrable concise syntax with an appropriate level of documentation
