Job Title: Operational Risk ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing operational risk and delivering high-quality results.The role will involve evaluating and managing risk to ensure processes meet applicable standards and/or prudential guidelines, implementing adequate internal controls, and continuously improving the organization's operational risk management framework.The ideal candidate will have at least one year's experience working in operational risk, enterprise risk, or audit functions in financial services, with exposure to APRA & RBNZ regulations.They will also be responsible for preparing risk management committee agendas and minutes, performing general administrative duties on behalf of the Chief Risk Officer and Risk Management Team, and developing and delivering training to refresh risk management skills and competencies.We offer a dynamic and growing environment with opportunities for development and career growth.Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and manage risk to ensure processes meet applicable standards and/or prudential guidelines.
  • Implement adequate internal controls to comply with bank rules, policies, and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory standards.
  • Continuously improve and strengthen the organization's operational risk management framework.
  • Manage periodic attestation processes to ensure risk events are captured, policies and procedures remain up-to-date, and business heads understand risk profiles.
  • Partner with the business and support functions to provide trusted advice on risk management practices.
  • Develop and deliver training to refresh risk management skills and competencies.
  • Assist in tracking and resolving risk events and associated countermeasures.
  • Prepare Risk Management Committee agendas and minutes.
  • Perform general administrative duties on behalf of the CRO and Risk Management Team.
Requirements:

We seek a motivated individual with a genuine interest in risk management. You will have:

  • At least one year's experience working in operational risk, enterprise risk, or audit functions in financial services, with exposure to APRA & RBNZ regulations.
  • Recent graduates with a related discipline, good understanding of operational risk management best practice, and grounding in Three Lines of Defence principals may also be considered.
