Key Appointment: Head of Operational Risk

This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and managing the NFR framework and associated policies and procedures.

The function is independent and organisationally segregated from business line management and employees that originate risk exposures. The role will be critical in helping to enhance the risk culture at a business level across the enterprise.

A strong communicator with exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will advise on the implementation of the NFR framework and identify risk exposures in the business. Your expertise will contribute to our risk management strategy and contribute to the success of our organisation.

In this capacity, you will lead our second line of defence team in Sydney, providing assurance on the effectiveness of our operational risk management practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop effective risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organisational risk profile and contribute to the development of our risk management strategy. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their objectives.

With a deep understanding of operational risk management principles and practices, you will be able to assess and mitigate risks effectively. You will also have experience in leading cross-functional teams and developing effective risk management frameworks.
