Global Financial Markets Specialist
About the Role:The Global Advisory group within Corporate Finance is seeking an experienced Associate to join our Sydney office. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in origination, structuring, and execution of equity capital market transactions for our corporate and financial sponsor clients.
You will work closely with internal teams, including junior and senior members across different product groups, as well as external parties such as client management teams, investors, and lawyers, to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives.
This role requires exceptional multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills, both verbal and written. You must be highly organized, motivated, and possess strong attention to detail. A solid understanding of transaction cycles and steps in the process is essential, as is the ability to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people and act as a point of contact.
You will also have the opportunity to develop content for meetings with clients regarding their strategy and potential capital market transactions, as well as regular market updates.
In addition, you will assist in coordinating live equity offerings, including bookbuilds and settlement/operational flow, and complete and review the analytical work of junior team members, providing mentorship and oversight where necessary.
This role offers the opportunity to think creatively and perform investor targeting of potential institutional buyers, analyzing comparable companies and institutional cross-ownership.
