Equity Capital Markets Role

Citi is seeking a skilled professional to join its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in Sydney. The ECM team works closely with the Advisory and coverage teams to advise public and private companies, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors on equity financings.

The objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to clients by facilitating equity capital formation through originating, structuring, executing, and syndicating equity financings.

About the Role:

  • You will help originate, structure, and execute equity capital market transactions.
  • Conduct comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research and trading analysis.
  • Develop and prepare presentation materials and other content for clients to deliver advice and address their strategy and equity capital market needs.
  • Liaise with multiple internal and external parties to manage and execute several projects simultaneously and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Play a critical role in helping the team deliver equity and equity-linked solutions to clients leveraging full spectrum of the bank's capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years' relevant work experience within ECM, corporate advisory, markets, or a related area.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; in any discipline with a top academic record from a leading university.
  • Strong corporate finance, analytical, business communications skills (both written and verbal).
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and time management ability.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders in other lines of business.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, resilient, and able to work independently with attention to detail and personal integrity.
  • Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential / sensitive information.
  • Strong interest and understanding of equity capital markets and transaction processes.
  • Keen interest in markets and investing, knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape.
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
