Merchandise Planning Role

We are seeking a skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team on an initial 12-month contract.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing department, class, and product performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • They will work closely with the buyer to develop exit strategies for slow-moving lines and manage stock holdings to minimise inefficiencies.
  • A key aspect of the role is ensuring accurate stock levels and regular deliveries across different channels.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for forecasting sales and managing seasonal retail orders.
  • Post-seasonal review and performance analysis will also be an important part of the job.

Your Qualifications:

  • You must have at least two years of experience in either an Allocator or Junior Planner role.
  • Specific experience in a high SKU department is highly desirable.
  • Analytical capability is essential, as you will need to support the Planner and adjacent teams with reporting and detailed analysis.
  • You must be comfortable navigating Excel and using it to manipulate data.
