Are you a commercially minded Merchandise Planner ready to take the next step in your career? My client, a highly regarded retailer with a solid presence in the Australian market, is looking for a Mid to Senior Planner to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you will work closely with the Buying team to develop and execute merchandise strategies, drive sales, and optimise inventory levels. You'll bring a strong analytical mindset and a proven ability to interpret data and build robust forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Buying team to develop merchandise strategies that align with financial targets.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage sales forecasts, stock plans, and open-to-buy budgets.
  • Implement and maintain planning processes and reporting tools.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability and minimise markdowns.
  • Provide actionable insights to stakeholders to drive business performance.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Merchandise Planner, ideally within a mid to large-size retailer.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, with a strong understanding of planning tools and systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of sales forecasting and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
