About the Role:
This is a key position within our organization, responsible for maximising participation in the census. The successful candidate will play a vital role in engaging with the community, promoting participation and ensuring a successful outcome.
The primary responsibilities of this role include planning, coordinating and delivering census engagement activities for assigned regions. This will involve maintaining a record of engagement activities, developing and reviewing engagement plans, and providing regular updates to the management team.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples;
- Ability to connect and engage with service providers, communicate effectively and develop strong relationships;
- Effective communication skills, including presenting information to small and large groups or communities;
- Capability to work independently, prioritise tasks and make decisions independently;
- Sound local area knowledge and ability to read and navigate maps.
