The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining a professional and positive working environment that continues to evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- We require an individual who can effectively negotiate and resolve complaints, disputes or enquiries with customers, suppliers, and other interested parties.
- Making decisions on adjustments, refunds, goods returned, customer cheques, and customer service as required.
- Managers must be able to manage the recruitment, training, and development of sales and warehouse staff within the store efficiently.
- Knowledge of all products sold in the business must be up-to-date at all times.
- Initiating suggestions for improvement of the business processes.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy store environment while complying with Occupational Health and Safety standards.
- Maintaining merchandise, fixtures, and fittings to be well presented at all times, with correct pricing displayed.
- Ensuring all staff is ready to commence work at the appropriate starting times and are well presented.
- Creating new business opportunities.
- Opening and closing the store.
- Actively involved in counter and phone sales.
- Communicating day-to-day operations between sales departments and the warehouse.
- Measuring staff performance to achieve personal and team targets.
- Managing fast and slow-moving stock control.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in customer management.
- At least 3-4 years in a similar 2IC role.
- Efficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of management processes.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
