Senior Network Security Technician Opportunity

ETT CareerMove is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Technician to join our team on a 12-month contract basis in NSW, ACT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and transition Cyber solutions, ensuring alignment with security principles and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee firewall design, automation, and integration with network designs using BGP and OSPF.
  • Manage Network Access Control (NAC) design and implementation.
  • Integrate network security tools with monitoring systems, including SIEM.
  • Maintain and upgrade Cyber tools.
  • Provide operational support and contribute to documentation for network security solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to optimize designs and support Validation and Verification (V&V) activities.
  • Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.

Required Skills:

  • Experience as a Senior Network Security Technician in Defence.
  • Expertise in cyber-security controls, zero-trust architecture, and security products (e.g., Firewalls, NAC, SIEM).
  • Proficiency with Fortinet, Ansible, Cisco products, Nutanix, and VMware.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of Australian Defence Force environments and relevant security frameworks (ISM, NIST).
  • Familiarity with SEA2273 Minerva systems.
