Program Coordinator Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at Western Plains Correctional Centre. The successful candidate will have prior experience coordinating programs, preferably within a rehabilitation or social services field.

The role involves developing and delivering programs addressing the rehabilitation needs of remand and sentenced individuals. Key responsibilities include fostering engagement, positive behaviour change and life skills development in both individual and group settings.

The multi-disciplinary approach to rehabilitation includes support services, vocational training facilities and cutting-edge technology to keep the facility secure.

This full-time role is part of the Offender Services team, responsible for the coordination and delivery of rehabilitation, reintegration and specialist support services at Western Plains.

  • Candidates must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with individuals who are difficult to reach.
  • Prior experience working within a correctional setting would be advantageous but not essential.
