ING Australia's Wholesale Banking team is in growth mode. We are looking for a Sydney-based Senior Corporate Banking Specialist to support our growing Food, Beverage, and Agri footprint. ING FBA's team operates in major financial centers across APAC, providing strong local client exposure and team relationships, as well as opportunities to work with the wider organization and progress your career in Wholesale Banking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, helping develop a deep understanding of their requirements and strategies to maximize our relationships.
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients and grow wallet share.
  • Identify, originate, and efficiently execute new-to-bank transactions.
  • Assist ING's market presence and enhance our profile through effective internal and external networks and communications.
  • Ensure sound and prudent banking practices in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and Group governance requirements.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects and other activities with the broader ING Australia WB business as needed.

Requirements

  • Circa 7+ years of corporate banking experience (or other relevant field).
  • You could be an experienced Senior Associate or Associate Director looking for your next step.
  • Experience in structuring, credit, and deal execution in corporate/investment banking.
  • Exposure and knowledge of the Agri sector are valued.
  • Strong financial analysis capability and good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of legal documentation.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • High level of self-motivation and professionalism with the ability to multitask.
  • Experience in international banking is valued.
  • Suitable tertiary qualification is preferred.
