Key Responsibilities- Lead Pricing Operations Team: Manage a team of product and pricing specialists to deliver business-as-usual (BAU) operational products and pricing, including new and changes to existing market offers.
- Pricing Systems and Processes: Manage pricing systems and processes, including quoting and billing systems, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Business Case Development: Develop business cases for design and implementation of improvements to pricing systems and processes.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Report and monitor the health of all pricing-related items, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement and ensure the team documents new or improved pricing-related processes, reviews existing processes, and ensures they are current and up-to-date.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulations are integrated within pricing processes and billing processes, maintaining a good working relationship with the Billing team and external system providers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurance of pricing inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy, reduce margin leakage, and compliance with pricing regulations.
- Pricing Compliance and Operational Issues: Manage the coordination, resolution, and reporting of pricing compliance and operational issues and their commercial impact.
- Pricing Errors and Improvements: Review, resolve, allocate, and assign pricing errors and seek ways for improvements, including running controlled learning events.
- Price Change Events: Manage price change events (annual and ad hoc), attend pricing committee, and manage cross-functional project plans.
- Pricing Knowledge: Sound understanding of pricing within the retail energy industry.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability in managing an operational team in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management: Project management experience and use of management tools to meet strict deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Sound analytical and intellectual reasoning capabilities.
- Problem-Solving: Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset - ability to bring logic, process, and structure to delivery processes.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, ability to work in high volume seasonally, demonstrating prioritization and organization skills.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to perform under pressure and deliver commercially sound outcomes.
