Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in the engineering sector?

We are seeking an Apprentice mechanical tradesperson who will participate in all on and off-the-job training to develop skills and perform duties associated with departmental requirements.

This will be all while ensuring the successful completion of the assigned vocational training plan.

As a key member of our team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting tradespeople with various rebuilds and repairs
  • Assisting tradespeople with inspection/repair of various plant and equipment
  • Completing requisition sheets to ensure inventory levels are maintained
  • FOLLOWING workshop procedures and maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe working environment
  • SUCCESSFULLY completing all learning modules within the required timeframe
  • Reporting any issues that may affect engineering workshop operations immediately to the engineering leading hand
  • Working effectively within a team environment to provide excellent guest service and promote a positive working environment

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • Current manual driver's license (an advantage)
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Completion of Year 10 Certificate
