Apprentice Tradesperson

Mechanical Fitters form a vital part of the operational team.

About the Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilise mechanical trade skills, working on various assets across Seqwater's network.

  • Carry out allocated work orders;
  • Service and repair equipment such as pumps, gearboxes and actuators;
  • Travel to relevant assets within the network;
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and policy guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking routine maintenance and servicing tasks;
  • Performing repairs and fault finding activities;
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople to achieve project outcomes;
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a mechanical trade environment;
  • A valid C class driver licence;
  • A trade certificate in mechanical services;
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) certification;
  • First aid certification (HLTAID003);
  • Gas test atmosphere (MSMWHS217) certification;
  • Confined Space Entry certification (RIIWHS202E, MSMPER205, MSMPER200);
  • Working at Heights certification (RIIWHS204E).
